The Royal Bay Quality Foods project required the execution of a highly technical exterior wall assembly over steel stud construction, using exterior drywall sheathing paired with a specialized insulated clip system. This approach demanded exceptional precision, as drywall sheathing offers virtually no margin for fastening error and leaves little room for correction once installed.
Additional complexity arose where adjacent scopes, completed by unrelated subcontractors, used a different clip system with its own adjustability limitations. Aligning both systems within their respective tolerances required close coordination from Brytar, detailed planning, and frequent site meetings. In several areas, existing substrate conditions exceeded allowable tolerances, necessitating custom flashing solutions and careful resolution of interface conditions to ensure system performance and continuity.
